On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States reversed Roe v. Wade, declaring it unconstitutional. States were officially given the choice to ban abortion outright. Virginia, along with several other states, did not have trigger laws in affect to ban abortion at the moment of the court's decision.
